Tony SenanayakeChief Executive OfficerTony Senanayake is the Chief Executive Officer of Fortify Health, one of India’s fastest-growing non-profits, working to reduce iron-deficiency anaemia through large-scale wheat-flour fortification. Under his leadership, Fortify Health’s open market program has expanded significantly and now operates in 16+ states reaching over 11 million beneficiaries each month, and the organisation now also works closely with state governments to strengthen nutrition programs. Tony holds an MBA from Yale University, a Master of Public Health from University College London, and a Master of Law. Parag JalanChief Programmatic OfficerParag draws on diverse experience in both the public and private sectors in his role as Chief Programmatic Officer. Working with leaders in the Open Market and Partnerships teams at Fortify Health, Parag focuses on driving programmatic innovation and fostering impactful collaborations. In his previous role, he led national partnership efforts with government entities across multiple regions for a large NGO based in India. Earlier in his career, Parag worked as a management consultant for large private sector companies, advised governments on closing health budgetary gaps, and scaled healthcare programs to improve access to essential medicines. Parag holds a degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Shakun SharmaSenior Director of programsShakun is a public health professional dedicated to driving impactful change in the public domain. As the Senior Director of Programs, Shakun leads the open market program, ensuring that fortified atta effectively reach the last mile consumers in a cost-effective manner. Since joining in September 2022, Shakun has been deeply committed in empowering teams and optimizing processes. Presently, Shakun is scoping and leveraging creative approaches to expand the reach of open market programs.

ADITYA BrahmabhattChief operating OfficerAditya is a systems and frameworks enthusiast, with a decade of diverse experience in the development sector. As Chief Operating Officer, he guides the operations team in supporting the efforts of the rest of the organisation. He does this by taking a strategic view of core systems and processes and how they will scale. He also guides the operations team in their day-to-day activities and ensures that the organisation is humming together smoothly. Over the next months, he will focus his energies in ensuring the strong team culture at Fortify Health is maintained alongside the organisation's upcoming rapid growth.

This involves building relationships and negotiating support structures with both existing and potential partners, enabling them to provide high-quality wheat flour to their customers. Additionally, Ashwin has played a crucial role in designing systems and developing resources within the team, ensuring efficient outreach and effective collaboration with partners.

Dr Prasad BogamSenior Director of Research, monitoring & evaluation Dr. Prasad Bogam has a background in public health, monitoring, evaluation, and research. With a passion for data-driven decision-making and impact measurement. He has supported organisations in optimising their programs and initiatives in the field of public health and clinical research.
As the Senior Director of Research, Monitoring & Evaluation at Fortify Health, Prasad is responsible for designing and implementing robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks that drive evidence-based strategies. His understanding of public health programs enables him to identify key indicators, develop data collection methods, and analyze the datasets to assess program effectiveness and outcomes. Currently, Prasad is leading the M&E and Quality team at Fortify Health. |

Janani RajashekarSenior Director of Strategic InitiativesJanani is committed to scaling the impact of evidence-based interventions. In her role as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, Janani leads cross-functional projects that have long-term implications for the organisation. She is currently working on projects that will diversify the organisation’s activities and increase the sustainability of its efforts. In her previous role, Janani led the effort to contextualize and scale an urban livelihoods program in partnership with the Bihar state government. Earlier in her career, she conducted and managed research on scaling development interventions, provided advisory services to philanthropists, and worked in financial services.

Vaibhav PatilAssociate Director of programsVaibhav joined Fortify Health in May 2021 as a Program Officer, driven by his passion for improving public health in India. With a strong background as a wheat milling technologist, he brings extensive expertise to his role. Now serving as the Associate Director of Programs, Vaibhav leads the Open Market Program, ensuring seamless fortification operations at partner mills. His leadership in empowering teams and optimizing processes has been pivotal to the successful expansion of Fortify Health's open market work, particularly in Madhya Pradesh and other regions across the country.

Dr. Joshita Lamba SainiDirector of partnershipsJoshita Lamba is a dedicated public health professional with a PhD in Foods and Nutrition. As the Director of Partnerships at Fortify Health, she works towards expanding access to fortified wheat flour in social safety net programs (SNPs), non-SNPs, and quasi-government initiatives. With a strong focus on reaching vulnerable populations, Joshita actively builds partnerships at both the central and state levels to integrate fortified wheat flour into key nutrition programs. With over a year of experience in public health, she is committed to driving meaningful change by collaborating with stakeholders to enhance the nutritional impact and build sustainable partnerships.

Shriya AgarwalAssociate Director of Monitoring, Evaluation & ResearchShriya enjoys leveraging data and evidence-driven approaches to create scalable solutions for social sector challenges. As the Associate Director of Research, Monitoring & Evaluation at Fortify Health, she leads the Quality team, overseeing one of the largest teams at Fortify Health to ensure that fortified atta meets essential quality standards. Her deep understanding of research methods and data analysis enables her to design and implement robust quality monitoring and evaluation frameworks within Fortify Health. Since joining in November 2024, Shriya has been deeply committed to empowering teams, and streamlining data systems and processes.
