Nikita
​CEO & Co-founder

Nikita previously worked in global health communications at Malaria Consortium.  She's also worked as Research & Outreach Intern at the Centre for Effective Altruism, and Project Manager at Voenna Rampa Refugee Camp in Bulgaria. She graduated from University of Oxford with a BA in French and German, and is interested in animal welfare, mental health and tackling modern slavery. She enjoys cooking, language-learning, hiking and cycling.

Urmi
Country Director

Urmi has extensive experience relevant to fortification and M&E. She was Research Manager at JPAL South Asia for 5 years where she managed 6 large scale programmes, including 2 fortification studies. She has also served as the Global Head of M&E for Uganda and India at STIR Education. She earned her PhD in Economics from Indiana University and has since channeled this into making high quality education and health systems accessible to all.  

Brendan
​Chief Strategy Officer & ​Co-founder

Brendan previously worked with Partners in Health in Peru, primarily on their mental health program. He graduated from Harvard College, where he studied Cognitive Neuroscience & Evolutionary Psychology and Global Health & Health Policy. His interests include global mental health and homelessness.​ Brendan now acts as part-time CSO at Fortify Health, having started Harvard Medical School in August 2019.

Kapil
Senior Programme Officer

Kapil holds a Bachelor in Food Technology from MIT College of Food Technology Pune, and completed his Flour Milling Technology qualification at CSIR-CFTRI. He has a strong background in milling and operations management in mills, with experience across India and the UAE. Kapil is the technical expert on milling within the Fortify Health team. In his spare time, Kapil enjoys cricket, trekking, reading and music.

Akanksha​
​​Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Akanksha completed her studies in engineering in Food Technology, and has a Masters in Food Plant Operations Management from NIFTEM. She has experience in food processing, new product development and research. Her interests are in food supply chain management, agriculture and food in international trade.

Abhishek
Operations Officer

Abhishek holds a Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, and an MBA from International School of Management Patna. He was previously based at ChildFund International working on all matters relating to admin, finance, and HR. He enjoys cooking and travelling in his free time.

Corrina
Business Development Manager

Corrina previously founded and ran Saheli, a social enterprise that improves women's access to affordable and high quality menstrual hygiene products in rural Gujarat. She's been an OceanPath fellow with the Coady International Institute in Canada and an incubatee of the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program. She graduated  from McGill University with a BA in International Development and Economics. She's interested in development economics, public policy and global health. She enjoys dance, travel and food.

Rekharani
​Partnerships Manager

Rekharani is a public health professional, holding a Master’s in Health & Hospital Management from Institute of Health Management Research, Jaipur. She previously worked with National Health Mission in Maharashtra as State Program Manager for implementation of Urban Health, and recently worked on research-oriented NCD project funded by Medtronic Foundation as Technical Manager in Hyderabad. Her interests include cooking, playing badminton, table tennis and travelling.

Manish
Programme Officer

Manish holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Technology from the Shivaji University Kolhapur, and a Master’s in Food and Fermentation Technology from University Institute of Chemical Technology, Jalgaon. He has completed a wheat & rice supply chain analysis in Haryana and Maharashtra, and provided technical support to a tendered flour mill in Haryana for atta fortification. He is interested in traveling, Indian classical music, and writing poetry in his spare time.
